Our leading public sector team regularly advise public bodies on all aspects of commercial contracts and procurement.
We work with Central & Devolved Government, Local Authorities, NHS and other public sector organisations on a wide range of commercial agreements including long-term supply agreements, outsourcing contracts and joint ventures. We also undertake reviews of existing agreements and terms and conditions to identify and manage disputes that arise.
We are very experienced in shared services projects; property and facilities management portfolios; PPPs; joint ventures; Local Asset Backed Vehicles (LABVs); creation of not-for-profit trusts; arm’s length companies; and mutual and social enterprises established to deliver public services. We also have ICT specialists with particular expertise in technology contracts and can provide specialist information technology and intellectual property advice; and experts specialising in GDPR and information law.
Our procurement specialists advise on all aspects of public procurement arising from the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and the Concession Contracts Regulations 2016. This includes assisting with choice of procedure, including Open, Restricted, Negotiated and Competitive Dialogue, the design of the procurement and evaluation and award criteria and the preparation of tender and contract documents and supporting in-house teams throughout the bidding and negotiation or dialogue phases, the evaluation stage and contract award. Our experience also ensures we can provide support when required in relation to any challenges and disputes and in relation to managing contract modifications.
The team regularly provide updates, webinars, and training on topics of interest to the public sector. We are also able to provide bespoke training for your in-house teams in areas such as public procurement and subsidy control.
