Kevin McManamon wins The Law Society ‘Legal Heroes’ Award
Geldards is delighted to announce that Kevin McManamon, Partner in Geldards Education team, has been awarded The Law Society’s prestigious ‘Legal Heroes’ award.
The Legal Heroes awards were established by The Law Society last year to acknowledge and recognise solicitors who have made a profound impact on the lives of others and to celebrate unsung heroes making a tangible difference to the community and bringing distinction to the legal profession.
Kevin was shortlisted by an expert judging panel and selected from over 470 nominations to the awards for his exceptional support to families with special educational needs and disabilities.
A highly skilled practitioner in Geldards Education team Kevin specialises in Education law and Mental Capacity law, acting for families across England and Wales. Boasting over 19 years’ experience, he is the only solicitor in the country to have genuine expertise in special educational needs law as it applies to the separate jurisdictions in England and Wales, combined with Mental Capacity law.
Kevin is recognised in both Chambers and Legal 500 legal directories as a ranked individual for his significant expertise in SEN matters such as SEND tribunal appeals and judicial reviews. He has advised a huge number of families and individuals on education law, disability related matters and public law and regularly advises charitable organisations.
Kevin was presented with the coveted Legal Heroes award by Law Society past president Lubna Shuja at an awards ceremony on 12th September at 113 Chancery Lane, London.
