Hong Kong British National (Overseas) Visa (BNO)

The Hong Kong British National (Overseas) visa otherwise known as a BN(O) visa is a new immigration route that was opened by the UK Government for applications on the 31st January 2021. Hong Kong citizens who have British National (Overseas) status and their close family members can apply for the BN(O) visa.

What the BN(O) visa application means

All Hong Kong British National (Overseas) passport holders can apply for the new BN(O) visa and successful applicants will be able to work and study in the UK as well as make use of the NHS services. BN(O) passport holders can also apply for their family members.
