Geldards advise Hazrem Environmental shareholders on sale to Biffa
Geldards’ Corporate team has successfully advised the shareholders of Hazrem Environmental Limited on its sale to waste giant Biffa.
Established over 20 years’ ago by current owners Paul and Michelle Goddard, Hazrem Environmental carved a niche as an independent business offering commercial waste disposal, recycling and transport services.
Based in Tredegar, South Wales the company deals with all types of hazardous waste, safely disposing of it via a fleet of waste vacuum tankers and curtain sided vehicles. Since the business was established in 2004 it has grown significantly to become a regional market leader, culminating in this sale to one of the UK’s leading sustainable waste management businesses. Biffa’s expertise and reach will allow the Hazrem business to continue to grow and thrive in the region following the sale.
Alex Butler, Geldards Partner in the Corporate team in Cardiff led the advice to Paul and Michelle assisted by Solicitor Jamie East. Georgia Evans, Solicitor in Geldards Property team, provided property advice on the sale. Dow Schofield Watts, led by Partner Koo Aseeley, provided corporate finance advice to the shareholders on the transaction.
