Geldards celebrates excellent results in Legal 500 rankings
Geldards is delighted to announce outstanding results across the board in the recently announced Legal 500 directory rankings.
The annual rankings which are based on extensive research and client feedback serve as a benchmark of excellence, highlighting the best law firms recognised for providing exceptional legal services to clients. In the 2025 Legal 500 results Geldards achieved top recognition in the rankings as a ‘Leading law firm’. Geldards saw success across 32 practice areas of which 14 teams achieved the highest ‘Top Tier’ Ranking.
A key highlight of the results was a significant increase in the number of individual rankings, and we are delighted to report that 49 Geldards lawyers ranked this year with four lawyers ranked in multiple practice areas.
The rankings revealed a 21% increase in the number of Leading Individuals and a significant 50% increase in Next Generation Partners with a commendation for excellent client care awarded to 4 partners admitted to the prestigious ‘Hall of Fame’.

The ”hardworking” Clinical Negligence team is praised for their “thorough approach to investigating claims” as they tackle a broad spectrum of clinical negligence matters providing an “efficient and responsive service” to claimants including those of the utmost severity.
The Commercial Litigation team maintains its nationwide top tier status and is applauded for being “responsive, knowledgeable and easy to deal with” and is regularly engaged in some of the highest-profile matters in the country.
Real Estate maintains a top tier ranking and the “exceptionally strong” team is praised for handling high profile planning matters for public sector clients and local authorities.
The Employment team is praised for providing “pragmatic and transparent” advice to public and private sector employers across a range of contentious and non-contentious matters.
The Charities and Not for Profit team are singled out as a team “with a very good reputation” for their expertise in governance and constitutional issues and maintain their top tier ranking.
Ranked for the second time, Geldards Education team is commended for their focus on representing parents of SEN children and the “meticulously detailed and nuanced understanding of the factors that are necessary to build strong supporting evidence in the case of EHCP appeals”.
Maintaining their top tier status, Geldards Family team is commended as an “a force of a team who are thorough, knowledgeable and approachable”.
Geldards Public Sector team maintains its nationwide top tier status and is commended as “a one-stop-shop across all disciplines” offering specialist lawyers with a deep understanding of projects and public law issues.
