Geldards Chairman David Williams Joins Top University Board
David Williams has joined the Board of Governors at Nottingham Trent University. David will join other leading academics and practitioners to shape the structure and success of one of the most up-and-coming universities in the country.
Nottingham Trent University was recently ranked 16th in the Guardian University League Table 2019. It climbed 18 places from 2018 making it one of the biggest climbers on the table. This success has been supported by a strong board, and the addition of David will further enhance the quality of education and university life.
Geldards has had an office in Nottingham for almost 15 years and has had a strong relationship with the university ever since. This latest appointment adds to David’s portfolio of roles he undertakes in the East Midlands, including Vice-Chairman of the Governors of Derby College, Director of Derby County Football Club and Chair of the Metro Strategy Growth Board.
David said:
“Nottingham Trent is one of the most successful universities in the country and I am excited to be joining the board. There is a fantastic opportunity to enhance the growth further, showcase the university’s abilities and support the city and students within it.
“At Geldards we are proud to have a strong reputation for supporting students throughout the education system and sitting on the board at NTU will strengthen that. It is important for universities to have strong links with local businesses to allow students to maximise their potential and build their careers.”
