Geldards strengthens Employment team with senior hire in Derby

Geldards has strengthened its Employment team with the appointment of Senior Associate Sue Jennings who joined the firm’s Derby office in September.

Geldards’ Employment team acts for many high-profile corporate clients and charities and has an excellent reputation in the market place for its public sector work, as well as holding a top tier ranking in the Legal 500 Directory.

Sue joins from the University of Derby where she headed up Derby Law School for the past seven years and lectured in employment law. She has spent the past two decades combining practice as a solicitor specialising in Employment Law and Dispute Resolution with academic leadership and training roles. She is highly skilled in employment and HR related matters and her expertise lies in providing clear, strategic and solution focused advice with experience across both the private and public sector.

In addition to her legal role, Sue holds the Civic post of Under Sheriff of Derbyshire,  providing valuable advice to the Office of the High Sheriff of Derbyshire on the protocols of the Office, particularly on matters such as the nomination process, parliamentary elections and ceremonial matters.
