Kate is a family law solicitor in the Cardiff office and joined the team in February 2024. Kate advises on all aspects of family law, including divorce, cohabitation disputes, Pre and Post-Nuptial Agreements, Cohabitation Agreements, domestic violence injunctions and arrangements for children. Kate also regularly advises and assists clients with financial disputes arising through divorce, seeking to resolve matters in a way that is best for each individual client, whether that is in or outside of Court.
Kate has previously worked at several large law firms and for the local authority before commencing her training contract at a specialist family law firm. Kate has worked as a family law solicitor since qualifying in May 2021. As well as running her own varied case load, Kate also has experience of working closely with senior family lawyers on high-net-worth cases.
Kate studied law at Cardiff University, where she was the recipient of the Family Law Prize for achieving the highest result in family law. Kate then went on to study the Legal Practice Course at Swansea University, where she focused her Masters dissertation on assessing the legal rights available to cohabitants upon separation, achieving an overall Distinction.
